prenatal AND POSTNATAL yoga teacher
hey there
I’m Natalia
Birth doula, registered nurse and prenatal yoga teacher! I’ve been passionate about health and fitness my whole life. I was introduced to yoga at the age of 18, where I had the opportunity to attend a yoga retreat. It was a magical experience that ignited a spark in my soul. From that time on I wanted to learn everything about movement, mindfulness and meditation. Whilst I developed a passion for yoga, I also developed a keen interest in health and helping others. To pursue these interests I enrolled in a Bachelor of Nursing and graduated from the University of Wollongong, Australia, and went on to complete my Masters of Nursing in Advanced Practice. In 2020 I had the opportunity to nurse overseas in Los Angeles where I worked in Labour and Delivery, it was here that I fell in love with the birthing world. Since moving home to Sydney, Australia I completed my doula training through Dona International and have supported women through all types of birth environments from hospital and home birth (with a certified midwife present). As your doula I will nurture and support you throughout your pregnancy and birth as you prepare to meet your baby.
POSTNATAL YOGA,
MUM’S & BUBS CLASSES
Mums and bub’s postnatal yoga is a specialised form of yoga designed to support recovery and bonding in the weeks and months following childbirth. It focuses on gentle stretches, strengthening exercises, and relaxation techniques that accommodate the physical and emotional changes experienced by new mothers. This practice includes poses that are safe for postpartum bodies, aiming to restore core strength, improve posture, and reduce tension. These classes incorporate the baby, allowing mums to nurture the mother-child connection while engaging in movement. This can help soothe the bub, encourage interaction, and make the practice accessible even for mums who may find it difficult to attend sessions without their newborn. Postnatal yoga also emphasises breathing techniques and mindfulness, which can aid in managing stress and enhancing overall well-being during the postnatal period.
Birth is not only about making babies. Birth is about making mothers — strong, competent, capable mothers who trust themselves and know their inner strength
